Additional Information
Tewari (2005) on the basis of ichnofossils had suggested an early Cambrian age. However, in view of its conformable contact with the overlying Bichom Fm containing Lower Permian fossils and identical diamictite beds in the Miri Fm and that Bichom Fm, a Lower Permian is suggested, Kumar (1997). [Temporarily put as Artinskian-Sakmarian here, to be coeval with other regional glacial-marine beds.]
